1. Homekill Is for Personal Use Only

Homekill meat is processed from animals you own and must be for your personal use only. It cannot be sold or traded, in accordance with the Animal Products Act 1999. We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe this law may be breached.

2. Animal Ownership and Responsibility

You must be the legal owner of the animal at the time of slaughter. You are responsible for ensuring the animal is:

  • In good health
  • Appropriately contained and accessible
  • Properly identified, if required

3. Access and Safety

It is your responsibility to ensure our staff can access the animal safely and that the area is suitable for homekill processing. Please secure all other animals, pets, and children during our visit. If we believe there are safety risks, we may refuse to proceed.

4. Humane Slaughter

All animals will be dispatched humanely in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act 1999. We reserve the right to decline service if we believe animal welfare laws may be breached.

5. Booking and Cancellations

Please book in advance where possible. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Late cancellations may incur a fee to cover lost time and travel.

6. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the job unless otherwise agreed. We accept [cash/bank transfer/other]. Additional charges may apply for travel outside standard zones or if extra labour is required.

7. Cut Instructions

It’s your responsibility to provide clear cutting instructions before processing. If no instructions are given, we’ll follow a standard cut plan. We do not take responsibility for preferences not communicated in advance.

8. Pick-Up and Storage

Processed meat must be picked up within 5 days of completion. We are not liable for spoilage if the meat is not collected in a timely manner. Storage charges may apply if delays occur.

9. Liability

We take great care in processing your meat, but we are not liable for:

  • Losses due to spoilage from delays in collection
  • Issues related to the condition or health of the animal

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The latest version will be made available on request or via our website.
